New Review! Redeem Me by Kathy-Jo Reinhart, 5 Cranky Stars

Kathy-Jo once again grabs your attention right from the start and keeps it until the last page. Redeem Me can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend that you read the series to get a better understanding of the characters.  Kyle, Paul, Amber, and Holly (from the previous books) are integral parts in this story.  I love that the gang is all together giving us some much needed laughter at just the right time.

Redeem Me is the story of Angel Walker and Chelsie Amell in the Oakville Series.  Chelsie, a shy and wholesome girl, is attracted to Angel who is totally her opposite.  Angel is a guilt ridden manwhore who is incapable of loving someone because he feels like he doesn’t deserve it.  He is also attracted to Chelsie but just like her, he is doing everything in his power to fight it.  Will she be able to overcome her insecurities and help him redeem himself from his past or will it be too much for them to overcome?

Fear of rejection has Angel struggling to share his past and exorcise his demons. Chelsie steps in to show Angel that he was just a boy and that he didn't do anything wrong. When more of Angel's past comes to light he turns to the bottle to cope. This causes all of Chelsie's insecurities to come out.
There's no lack of drama with the rocker lifestyle and upset girls wanting revenge,  yet the author found a way to keep it real. The characters are likable and relatable. Kathy-Jo writes so that you experience the guilt, pain, joy and love. This author is definitely one I'll be watching.  I was sad to see the book end and want to read more about the gang.
