New Review! Pieces of Heaven by Natasha Madison, 4.5 Cranky Stars

Pieces Of Heaven (Heaven & Hell #2)Pieces Of Heaven by Natasha Madison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

**** 4.5 Cranky Stars ****

Life has dealt Mick every rotten hand possible since birth, including a father who refused to acknowledge him, a mother who turns to drugs and stripping. Phyllis, a next door neighbor takes him under her wing and when he starts going off the rails himself, forces him to go to basic camp. He becomes a police officer and a detective in the special victims unit.

Mick meets Marissa when the case of her missing daughter crosses his desk.

Marissa is a stripper! Drama!

Mick swears to find Lori. Lori and two other girls are found chained in a filthy motel room where the were drugged up on heroin and being sold to anyone who had the right price.

Mick falls in love not only with Marissa, but also with her daughter. It takes some persuasion from him to win Marissa over but love finds a way. They have an earthy and very passionate love life and life looks good...............till lady fate with her twisted sense of humor decides to throw a spanner in the works.

Mick comes face to face with his mistakes from his past as well as an unwelcome reminder of his childhood.

This book will resonate with anyone who has loved and lost and hopes to love again and is prepared to fight for those pieces of heaven. The author tackles issues that every parent of a teenage daughter has nightmares about.

The book comes with a warning of adult content, however everything is balanced, sex does not rule the story, it is an element thereof.
